Kim Price-Glynn

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Connecticut (UConn) where I teach at the UConn Hartford and UConn Storrs’ campuses. Since joining the UConn Hartford campus, I have been affiliated with the Department of Geography, Sustainability, Community, and Urban Studies. Before becoming a member of the UConn faculty, I completed a doctorate in sociology at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Much of my life and work centers on care. In addition to caring for my family and friends, carework is a central focus of my research and teaching, as well as my mentoring, service, and volunteering.
